Our Free Classical Concert Series continues with a very special musical event. Washington Men’s Camerata sings 250 years of US music, from Shenandoah to the Wild West, and the deep South to the frosty North. Enjoy art songs, spirituals, folk music, cantatas & more. Sacred & secular, classic & contemporary choral works by Randall Thompson, William Dawson, Stephen Foster, David Conte & others, making music of texts by Maya Angelou, Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost, Walt Whitman & more. Featuring the Young Men's Ensemble of The Children's Chorus of Washington & live, interpretive painter Luther Wright. Festive reception follows! Free and open to the public. Arrive early for the best seats.
