Click here for the Program and artist bio! Join renowned artist Golda Vainberg-Tatz on May 5 in honor of Holocaust and Heroism Remembrance Day. Her mother was rescued from the Nazis by Rev. Antanas Gobis, a Catholic priest, and Golda emigrated to Israel before heading to New York to study music at the Juilliard Conservatory. We trust she will share more about what this Day means to her in the music she performs, and the words she shares, on May 5 at 3:00pm at St. Ann DC. All performances are free and open to the public. This couple met as students at St. Ann’s Academy, where they attended up to eighth grade. Lauren and Blake later decided to marry. Last weekend, they returned to St. Ann on a nostalgia tour, and to show their five kids where they met. They currently live in Bowie, Maryland. Program highlights: An All-American program including choral works by Copeland, Niles, and Hogan, the world premiere of “My True Love Hath My Heart” by Zachary Wadsworth, and operatic favorites featuring solos and choruses from Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess! The Kosciuszko Foundation’s Chopin Piano Competition was established in 1949, in honor of the hundredth anniversary of the death of Frédéric Chopin. The inauguration took place at the Kosciuszko Foundation House in New York City, with Witold Malcuzynski as a guest artist, and Abram Chasins, composer and music director of the New York Times Radio Station, presiding. Over the years, many outstanding musicians have been associated with the competition including Van Cliburn, Ian Hobson, Daniel Pollak, Murray Perahia, Myung-whun Chung, Kevin Kenner, and Kirill Gerstein. Today, the Kosciuszko Foundation’s Chopin Competition continues to encourage gifted young pianists, ages 18–30, to further their studies and to perform the works of Polish composers. Since 2022, the Kosciuszko Foundation Chopin Piano Competition has been taking place in Washington D.C. with its new Artistic Director Mr. Martin Labazevitch.

These dedicated volunteers host Sunday classes to educate grades K-8. "I can't express the joy I feel when one of my students meets me occasionally at the elementary school where my kids attend. The innocence and love that children radiate without asking for anything in return is truly heartwarming!” Click here to read their stories!

Pavlo Gintov is a world-class pianist. Don't miss this chance to see his art! Music is an expression of the soul, and through the God-given gifts of a performer, can bring the listener closer to the source of all that is, Our Lord. Gifted artists, performing in our church, provide an opportunity for people who might not otherwise have the chance to experience this music performed live, to do so in an environment that inspires the human spirit to seek a closer connection to God.

As the year comes to a close, this serves me the opportunity to ask God’s choicest blessings upon each of you and your families. May the Christ Child whom we long to see for ourselves one day in the Bethlehem of heaven find his Heart burning brightly in our own now and in the coming year.

Paul Jacobs, renowned organist, performs at Saint Ann’s 2010 American Guild of Organists Convention. This concert was hugely significant for our parish. Jacobs insisted on playing at St. Ann DC—imagine that! There was such a demand to hear him that he had to play the recital twice, drawing 2,200+ attendees. Each Rosary Comes with a Gift Box and Candle These are the only rosaries of their kind - depicting our church facade, the date 1869, our parish logo, our St. Ann and Mary statue in the parish garden next to the playground, and the cross at the altar of our church.
